Atlantic Carbon Group, Inc. was formed in 2016 when two predecessor companies, Coal Contractors Inc. and Hazleton Shaft Inc. merged to form Atlantic Group PLC, which was then reorganized into Atlantic Carbon Group Inc. in 2020. In the period 2020-2021 Atlantic Carbon Group has expanded its mining footprint into four operations, expanded its fleet of mining equipment and coal processing and handling infrastructure through the purchase of Cat 785D trucks, and expanded processing and sizing plant at Hazleton Shaft and expanded sizing and conveying facilities at Jeansville.
The Pennsylvania anthracite coal field is a well-documented region with a long history of mining. ACG’s operations concurrently reclaim and rehabilitate lands previously disturbed by mining operations as part of its business. The region is conveniently located for exports, has an established local infrastructure designed around the anthracite production industry, and yields one of the highest quality anthracite products in the world with high fixed carbon content, extremely low vols and very low sulfur and ash.
We have a highly experienced management team with an unrivalled in-depth knowledge of the Pennsylvanian anthracite industry. The team has expanded mining and processing capacity as it looks to grow to become the industry leader in US anthracite production.
